Laos charges distillery owner and hostel staff in backpacker deaths investigation
Laotian authorities have indicted the owner of Tiger Vodka distillery and staff at Nana Backpackers Hostel following the deaths of six foreign tourists in Vangvieng late 2024. Police found methanol levels exceeding safe standards in the vodka.
